To access a WebVista site, it is important to use the Internet ID that is set up with access to the site.
Registered Students
All students registered at the University of Minnesota are assigned Internet IDs (also known as x500 IDs) that they use for all Internet services at the University, including e-mail, Onestop services, and WebVista. Students will log in to WebVista courses using these Internet IDs.
Students must initiate their Internet ID accounts before they can use WebVista or other Internet services at the University. Students can find out their student Internet ID and password by calling the Technology Helpline at (612) 301-4357 (1-HELP on campus).
Teaching Assistants
TAs may have designer access or TA-level access, depending upon how the site was set up. They can not have different levels of access under the same ID within a single site.
Non-University of Minnesota WebVista Users
Special Internet IDs can be created for users who do not already have University Internet IDs. See Granting Guest Access to a Site.
