Instructors often ask to see demonstrations of WebVista learning activities. Due to privacy concerns, we cannot provide direct links to actual WebVista sites. However, you may use the following services and resources to get examples of and learn how to construct learning activities in WebVista.
Orientations and Short Courses
The University Technology Training Center (UTTC) offers orientations and short courses to learn how to build WebVista sites and use WebVista tools to create learning activities. Sessions are offered both in-person and in on-demand online formats. See the UTTC WebVista resources page for details.
Consultations
You may meet with an educational technology consultant from the Digital Media Center (DMC) who can show you WebVista learning activity samples and help you plan how to develop and teach with your own WebVista learning activities. To set up an appointment, call 612-625-5055 or send e-mail to dmc@umn.edu.
Exemplary Projects
DMC consultants have developed case studies of how University of Minnesota instructors have used WebVista and other tools to develop learning activities. See the Exemplary Projects page on the DMC site.
Evaluation Instrument
You may use an evaluation instrument developed by faculty members from the School of Nursing and our consultants to evaluate the effectiveness of your WebVista learning activities. See the Online Nursing Curriculum Evaluation page on the DMC site for details and download a rich text format (RTF) version of the instrument.
