You may use WebVista-specific listservs and a searchable online database to answer WebVista course site development questions. The University maintains a listserv to support our campus community of WebVista developers. Traffic on the University's WebVista listserv is low and its existence is being reevaluated. Blackboard, Inc. also maintains two highly active lists and offers a searchable database of common questions and answers about the use of WebVista.
The University Developers' Listserv
You may join the University of Minnesota Developer's Listserv to ask WebVista-related questions or discuss WebVista-related issues such as the following:
- technical difficulties
- design and development tips
- teaching and learning topics
Before you can send and receive messages, you first must subscribe to the listserv by sending e-mail to listserv@lists.umn.edu. (Note: this is not the listserv itself, just the address used to subscribe to it.) Leave the "Subject" blank. In the body of the message type: subscribe webct-users [YourFirstName YourLastName]. Make certain that your e-mail signature, if any, is not included in this message.
You then can send messages to all the list subscribers at webct-users@lists.umn.edu.
The University Knowledge Base
You can access the University's Knowledge Base to access frequently asked questions about WebVista.
